Your Personal Firewall Against an Acidic Body – Vinegar – Part 2

The effects of vinegar are widely acknowledged.

3,500 years ago, a few winemakers made a mistake while making wine. The wine turned sour, resulting in the birth of vinegar. From that time onwards, vinegar has been used as a seasoning for food.

The Chinese discovered the goodness of vinegar long ago as a seasoning in food preparation. As vinegar became more widely used, its positive effects on health were quickly established when it was found to improve energy, prevent cold, and relieve aches and gastric pain.

The ancient Chinese used vinegar in their secret remedies; some of the countries in ancient times started using vinegar to maintain health and beauty. The last Egyptian Queen, Cleopatra used crushed pearls in vinegar as part of her skin care regime , and her flawless skin even at the hour of her death is attributed to this amazing concoction.

In some other countries said to be susceptible to plagues and epidemics, people believe that drinking vinegar can strengthen their immune system.

In line with the advance of medical science, many countries are progressively researching the medical properties of vinegar. The research results firmly establish vinegar’s pharmacological mechanism and its efficacy. There are numerous experts on vinegar in Japan alone, and many well-known pharmaceutical companies around the world, such as Roche, are actively involved in researching the extraction of the active compounds from vinegar. Do You Consider Yourself To Be Healthy – Part 3

Along with eliminating those bad habits referred to in Part 2 of this series, we must change what we are doing and eating.

Unfortunately, it’s simply not enough to stop the bad stuff, we have to intake lots of the good stuff. We have a lot to overcome, to have average health, let alone optimal health.

Basically, in order for our bodies to function at it’s optimal level, we need a whole spectrum of nutrients. These nutrients can be grouped as below:-

  1. Vitamin, minerals, trace minerals
  2. Antioxidants
  3. Essential fatty acids (EFA)
  4. Essential amino acids
  5. Immune boosters
  6. Digestive enzymes
  7. Probiotics and prebiotics
  8. Fiber
  9. Cleansing and detoxification herbs
  10. Alkaline promoters
  11. Phtyoestrogen
  12. Cardiovascular protectors
  13. Brainfoods
  14. Bone Builders

Boy, that’s a whole heap of stuff we need! Do have any idea how to achieve the result you need?

The problem we have is that a so-called balanced diet only considers proportions of protein, fat and carbohydrates. Most people don’t even know about, say, alkaline promoters. Did your doctor ever discuss brainfood or antioxidants with you? I’ll bet that didn’t happen. Umm, something to think about.

The answer is supplementation. Natural supplements should not be considered alternative or complimentary therapies or medicines. They are natural foods, not drugs.

Nn Wheatgrass Powder

Nn Wheatgrass Powder for Optimal Health – Certified Organic

For optimum health, maintaining a healthy acid-alkaline balance is crucial.

Premature aging and degeneration of bodily functions can be attributed to toxic levels of acidity in the body. This improper balance is due largely to the types of food we eat. Meats, sugars, legumes, grains, and nuts; and processed, refined, baked, and fried foods produce acidic residues after digestion and assimilation. Since many of us eat bread, rice, noodles, chicken, beef, fish, cakes, and more, over time, acid-alkaline imbalance may result in:

  • Impoverished vitality, fatigue and tiredness
  • Muscle and back aches; joint pains
  • Obesity
  • Body odor and bad breath
  • Constipation
  • Dull, dry skin
  • Excessive sweating
  • Premature appearance of wrinkles and lines
  • Headaches
  • Lackluster hair
  • Foul-smelling urine
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Susceptibility to infections
  • Gout

Wheatgrass, from the family of cereal grasses, is a wholesome food with alkaline characteristics to correct and adjust acid-alkaline imbalance and maintain an alkaline state required by cells for optimum health.

Nn Wheatgrass Powder uses organically grown young shoots of wheatgrass harvested when levels of nutrients and plant compounds are at their peak. The production process retains all the vital nutrients – vitamins, alkaline minerals, enzymes, chlorophyll, amino acids, antioxidants and fiber. The easily digestible form allows your body to fully integrate and utilize the health-building nutrients it provides. Fructose, a natural sugar found in fruits and honey, is added to improve its taste.

Nn Wheatgrass Powder is a wholesome food for children, breastfeeding and pregnant mothers. For the obese, nutrient-rich Wheatgrass Powder can assist in weight loss; it discourages overeating because the rapid digestion and assimilation curbs hunger pangs.

Directions: Dissolve one packet in a cup (200 x 250ml) of water or your favorite juice. Do not use hot water as heat destroys the vital nutrients and enzymes. For best results, take
2 – 3 packets daily on an empty stomach. If you experience troublesome symptoms of acidity (fatigue, sleep problems, headaches, etc), you should take more packets daily.

Nature’s Restorer of Acid-alkaline Balance
Dr. Ann Wigmore, author of The Wheatgrass Book, has recorded countless testimonies on the alkalizing, cleansing, energizing and building effects of wheatgrass. Fiber-rich wheatgrass contains amino acids, vitamins, alkaline minerals, trace elements, enzymes, antioxidants, chlorophyll and plant compounds. Alkaline minerals in wheatgrass improve the transportation of oxygen, helping body systems function at an optimum level in a highly oxygenated environment. The cleansing and regenerative effects of chlorophyll dislodge acidic waste that clings to cells, tissues and organs and purifies the bloodstream. As a result, you look and feel younger, trimmer and healthier.

Important Enzymes and Antioxidants in Wheatgrass & their Functions

  • Superoxide dismutase (SOD) – Protects cells from free radical damage
  • Catalase – Strengthens resistance and natural defense
